Hi.

My name is peng. I like plants, feminism and technology.

About me

I got interested in tech through data protection and the Data Retention Act of 2008 in Germany. Since then I moved into web development, doing what I love: something creative and something tech. I’m very much interested in the social impacts of technology, and happy to be part of an association for digital education and participation.

My values

Privacy

I build websites without consent banners, because I believe that we as designers have the responsibility to reduce data collection on the internet.

Sustainability

Reducing data collection and storage is not only important for a secure and responsible use of the internet, it also reduces the carbon footprint of your website.

Accessibility

Besides an adequate color palette, contrast and font size, I value easy navigation and cleanly structured pages.
Although I have visual impairment, I remain ignorant towards other disabilities that are not mine. Please feel welcome to reach out with suggestions for improvement.

My work

Education

I organize workshops on various topics such as:
*Privacy
*Security
*Digital self-defense
*WordPress
*Soldering workshops for kids

Webdesign

I build websites for non-profit organizations, social projects and small businesses. My approach to design is focused on usability and user experience. I like minimalist layouts mixed with bright colors and playfulness. Structure, clarity, clean navigation and a straightforward approach to design are important to me.
